Which floor is better in an apartment lower or higher?

I think higher floors give you a good view, better air quality, restricts flies, insects, mosquitoes, mice, etc.

The top floor is better. This is generally reflected in premium pricing for upper floors.

PROS

• No foot traffic noise from upstairs neighbors. This trumps everything else. All you need is for a family with young children to move in overhead and you'll understand.
• Possible views.
• Safer from home invasion.

CONS

• Stairs.
• Having to deal with your angry lower neighbors who live with the noise of your foot traffic.
