Transcon Developers celebrates World Environment Day by beating Plastic Blues

Every year 5th of June is celebrated as the World Environment Day to raise global consciousness on the significance of fortification of Mother Nature. Comprehending the vitality of environment sustenance, Transcon Developers, a credible name in the Indian real estate segment has taken up an innovative initiative to make their employees ecologically conscious.

Keeping up with the theme of this year’s World Environment Day which highlights on limiting plastic usage, Transcon Developers, recently launched a sapling plantation drive in Tirumala Habitats a part of Transcon Skycity but in a sustainable way. They kick-started this plantation drive by planting the saplings in coconut shells, without resorting to the usual plastic usage.

Transforming luxury, novelty and sustainability, each apartment at Tirumala Habitats in Transcon Skycity has been evaluated and assigned as pre-certified platinum rated green building under the guidance of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The project has been built under the concept that facilitates an efficient use of energy and valuable resources, thus making room for a healthy and green environment. Being strongly committed towards contributing to the ecological system by providing the sustainable homes, the employees at the Transcon Skycity participated in the campaign with much gusto. This is not for the first time that such an initiative was undertaken at the premises, every year the group participates and contributes towards the betterment of environment day in some way or other way. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aditya Kedia, Managing Director, Transcon Developers, says, “In present times the key environmental concerns that need to be immediately addressed are waste disposal, pollution and emission of Green House Gas and most importantly eradicating plastic utilization. Environment protection is a prudent issue which should not be ignored. On the eve of World Environment Day, by planting samplings in coconut shells instead of plastic, we at Transcon Developers have extended our support towards plastic limitation and thus pledge to do our bit to conserve our precious environment.
